Hiring facilities Advice

As a member you can have the use and Hire of the ballroom and other rooms from as little as £70 and this includes bar, but if you require the use of our kitchen then this will cost extra. You can as a member when hiring any of these facilities, set up how you would like to present your party or wedding. Its all yours to have a good time and enjoy. Please note that the club wants to give every member the opportunity to hire these facilities when available, but if any damage to club property occurred during the period of the hired facility, then that member who hired the facility will be responsible to have it put right.

Simple advice and awareness for New Members

There are many benefits from membership of our Club. We offer all-day Opening Hours in the Crusader Bar, where you can enjoy a social drink at very favourable prices, amongst friends. Snooker, Darts and Skittles are played at league as well as social levels. Dominoes, Bridge, Whist, Bingo and Short Mat Bowling can also be enjoyed socially. We have Sky and ESPN screening all the major sporting events, along with a Website and Wi-Fi available. We also have an Angling Club, with a full fixture list. We are the proud sponsors of Riviera United F.C. Regular features include our Sunday lunchtime Carvery; Saturday evening Draw; Sunday lunchtime Meat Draw; and Sunday evening Quizzes. We host an Annual Beer Festival in October. We stage Socials, with live musical acts, usually on a Saturday, and often in the Crusader bar. We have a ballroom, (with kitchen if required), available for members to hire, at very reasonable prices, for private parties or functions. This facility is also utilised for major Club Social functions. The Centre host sections that organise activities appropriate to age groups, from Mothers and Toddlers, Pre-School, Youth Club, through to our 50s and 60s Friday afternoon club. To the rear of the building, a heated shelter is available for the comfort of smokers. At the front there is a more basic Smokers’ shelter.

As a member you have certain responsibilities. Firstly your membership must be renewed every June. Failing to do so by 1st of July will incur the extra charge of a re-joining fee. It is advisable to carry your card, as regular membership checks are a legal obligation. Avoid embarrassment and please do not ask for credit. The Bar staff are under instructions not to allow it to anybody. Working clothes are permitted during the day, provided that floor and furniture will not be “soiled”, but we request smart, casual attire in the evenings and at weekends, please. If you smoke, please enjoy your cigarette in the shelters provided. Smoking in the Front Entrance to the Club is unwelcome, and against the legal guidelines. Guests are welcome, if you sign them in, and the fee of 50p each is paid. However you are responsible for their behaviour; they must leave when you do. Well-behaved children are most welcome in the designated area, but only in the charge of a responsible adult. We are a warm, friendly, family Club. The use of foul language, or any other form of offensive or anti-social behaviour, will therefore not be tolerated.
